My mate has a 1.4 16v (75bph version) Polo SE.
Lately, the EPC light has illuminated while driving and stays solid for the rest of the journey.
The car runs fine without any apparant problems, but the VW manual suggests "Engine fault, take to VW ASAP".
Is there any way of retrieving the engine fault codes without taking it to VW, as £60 is quite steep to plug in a computer.
