Advice required.


1999 VAUXHALL ASTRA LS 1.4i 16V - 110k good bodywork, clean, bit of smoke from the back.
6 months mot, no tax =A31000 worth it

All small block Ecotec's of the X series (X14XE in this case) smoke after

90k. Rings wear and valve stem oil seals go west. Will probably keep running for a while, but will go through catalysts and O2 sensors like they're going out of fashion.

Personally, I'd avoid. Either that or try get it for 700 quid so you can budget for a rebuild on the engine.

Not that it matters, but so does the C16XE pre-Ecotec engine.
