The dashboard warning lights are not illuminating when i turn on ignition ,still starts but is annoying,this happened after fitting a ariel extension to the radio,any pointers to check all fuses appear ok,also heating fan will not operate this was like this before above problem.

Almost certainly a connector has been pulled slightly by disturbing everything when fitting the *aerial*. If unlucky, wires may have been dislodged when aerial coax was being pulled through and hands under dash pulled something. Turn ignition on and get hand back under there and wiggle things about. Hopefully you will touch something and see dash light flicker and know you have found the problem.
