My mum has an '02 reg Corsa 1.4 auto and has just received her road tax renewal and it's a whopping £190! Now I know I could check her logbook to find out what band it's placed in but I can't get round there till next weekend at the earliest. Having looked on the DVLA website it appears that you can only search for new cars unless I missed a page somewhere. Can someone point me in the direction of a website that will enable me to double check that her car is indeed in the correct band because that seems mighty expensive for a 1.4! :( More expensive than my 2.0 Toyota!

Cars registered on or after 1st March 2001 which fall into Band A (CO2 emissions up to 100 g/km) will attract a nil rate of duty. £00.00p/a

No it doesn't because I do not know what band it falls into as I haven't seen the logbook and will not see it for at least another week. :( I need a website that actually shows emissions from cars older than 05/06 but which still fall into the governments new vehicle taxation classes.

Thanks for all your help guys. It seems that the car does indeed fall into the £190 a year band. That's ridiculous for a 1.4 Corsa! :(

I'm lead to believe that my mum gets about 30 to the gallon but it only ever does a 3 mile there 3 miles back work journey.
