only had the car for two weeks but noticed that the clock and radio lights go dim when headlights are on...........
have they always done this or have i pressed a button somewhere ?

Yes, they do. It means they're visible in daylight, and don't distract you at night.
go dim when headlights are on...........
normal, used to happen on Meastros too. bit toooooooo bright at night so thats why they take after Blair (dim)
