Clio brakes

Hi all

Just back from Halfords trying to get a price for pads and shoes for my wee clio.

Apparently i need to check my caliper to see if it is a lucas pad i need or a different one.

For the shoes i need to measure the disc to see if it is 180mm or 235mm.

Is there an easier way to find out or do i need to do this in the first place?

I've got a clio S 1.4 w reg. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, you'll have to remove a wheel anyway so just measure. However, I think that girling calipers are marked "girling" - ie. part of the casting.

for cheap consumable stuff like pads - though any decent non-dealer motor factor will do a good price for these common items. Is there a DingBro near you?

Not that i know of. I'll have a go at the weekend when i have access to another car. Don't want to be taking wheels off, then back on, then off again...! :-)

Thanks for the help.
