Do you drive/service a diesel car? We all know diesel fume is bad for the lungs, and we might suspect worse. Now our fear is confirmed.

I am fairly certain that if I searched enough, I could find some "research" which stated that posting on newsgroups was harmful to health. Are you suggesting that exhaust fumes from a petrol (gasoline) engine are totally safe? They kill far quicker. Try committing suicide by routing the exhaust from a diesel engine into the car, then repeat with petrol exhaust. The second attempt will kill.
Today we're being told it's better to be slightly fat. It was only a week ago
*they* were telling us that we should be at the lower end of the BMI scale, which is thin. Much of this so-called research is uttelry worthless
That's me covered then.

well, with the fuel prices as they are now, i know i would choose the cheaper petrol prices...paying more for diesel would be stupid!

Being slightly fat is good in winter, being thin is better in the summer. It really is that simple!
What about salt then, which definitely killed you a fortnight ago, but now it is asserted that a review of the research show there is no such evidence. Only perhaps where there is already an underlying problem. This research business is a good line to get into, because it doesn't matter a jot, whether you're right or wrong. Bottom line is that generally we are all living longer, healtheir lives than ever before.
It says A=B. That does not suggest C=B, nor A=D. It constantly amazes me how people can miscomprehend a simple equality.
Still? With a warm cat?
cheers, clive

For a minute I thought you were talking about the feline variety! Sure, they do kill. Small animals in particular...
