Chaps,
Just bought a Citroen 1.9 ZX TD. Runs great, 114k miles, sailed through it's MOT. Only problem is it's a bastard to start. It's not the heater plugs as I've had them checked and cleaned by my sparky mate. When I got the car it had a battery on which was way too small so I've replaced that. It didn't cure the problem, but I didn't really expect it too.
Could it be gummed up injectors? I've ran a tankful of diesel through it with injector cleaner in and caned it for 400 miles. Now it starts first time when cold, but it's still a pig when hot. Needs a good churn on the starter to get it to fire. 10 seconds or more.
TIA
