Disc brake mystery?

Wonder if anyone can answer this brake query:

Problem is slight judder under heavy braking from the front offside brake.

I've changed the brake pads and its made no difference, except I've noticed that the offside brake disc seems to get hot much more quickly than the nearside.

Upon examining the old pads, I've noticed something. On the nearside (good) brake, both pads have worn equally. However, on the offside (bad) brake, the outside pad has worn much more than the inside pad (the one nearest the piston).

It seems therefore that possibly one side of the disc is getting much more friction applied than the other, and I guess this may be causing the judder. But how is this possible? If the disc was warped, surely both sides would be affected? And if the caliper was stuck, there wouldn't be any braking at all?

Any ideas?

The pistons still sliding in the caliper, the calipers not sliding in it's mount, clean it up or renew the slider pins & it all comes good

you have a sticky piston, or caliper trunnion.  This would hold that padagainst the disc, heating up that side enough that possibly the disc haswarped, giving you the judder, especially if you sit at lights with yourfoot on the brake pedal, as you can cause a heat sink problem.  Give thatside a good clean up, free up the sliding trunnion and if it still judders,you'll need a pair of discs.

"Came across a very unusual one once where the flexy hose was faulty andacted as a slow valve - let fluid in quickly but back out slowly - causingthe caliper to partially seize temporarily and therefore overheat the disktill it warped.......
