door panel removal

hello, lately i have been hearing a very annoying noise/rattle from the driver door on my 05 ford focus saloon, sounds like a ballbearing or something round anyway is rolling around at the bottom of the door trim/panel. There are no visible screw heads etc so anyone know how to remove the trim/panel

many thanks for any help

Usual places to look :

  1. about 4 screws along the very bottom of the inner door trim.
  2. top of door pocket maybe cover by plastic trim
  3. back of door release lever, again you will see a round plastic cover
  4. two or three screws on the door "handle"

There will be plastic clips behind the panel holding it to the door, you need to work from the bottom and up the sides, slipping your hand behind the trim panel to pull the clips as near as possible to where they are located.

There will be clips along the top ege of the door, the windows edge.

You may need to remove the cover on the back of the door mirror first.

Stuck to the inside of the door will be a plasic membrane, use a sharpe knife / scalpel and cut the adheasive around the the edge of the plastic. you can then restick it with silicon. OR cut the plasic around the edge of the metal work and gaffer tape it back up again.

Thanks very much, hopefully if i can get the bottom open a little, whatever is rattling around will just fall out without having to take off the whole panel!
