You've got a dry joint in your fusebox (to the right of the steering column).

Very common problem (mine failed with a nasty burning smell). Once I fixed it (removed it, and soldered every joint I could find), electrical stuff that had never worked before all started working (front & rear screens & heated mirrors for one).

If you think you're OK to remove it, give it a go, but if not, get someone who knows what they're doing to take a look at it.

thanks, have had a look at fuse box, best to leave to auto electrician

electrician.

Get a new one or one from a scrappy, they are dead easy to change over. Just disconnect the battery, swap all fuses and relays over then the multiplugs and lastly the main supply cables. Job done.

But be aware that there may be different variants which look the same or similar but are not the same internally.
