Extended Warrantys

Hi When I bought my S/H Citroen Xantia it came with a 12 months warranty. At the end of the 12 months I was able to renewed it. Those 12 months have now passed and since my car has done over 50,000 miles I am unable to renew it as the company Citroen use will not cover cars that are 5 years old or have covered more than 50,000 miles. Has anybody had any experience good or bad with a 3rd part car warranty company, and can anybody recommend a company that provides a good parts and labour warranty cover without any hassle. TIA Tony

So, despite the fact that the car has covered 50k miles reliably (I'm assuming it's reliable as you haven't said otherwise), you're still willing to shell out hundreds of pounds a year on a warranty you're never likely to use?

*shakes head*

Well, I have an AA warranty and that's only about £45 as far as I can remember (my whole membership is only £116 p.a.). They'll take on any car under 100,000 miles.
