Is it just me? I find these postings quite annoying/disturbing. By these, I mean, select a relevant newsgroup that is a discussion newsgroup with no advertising, then stick in a post about what they are offering on e-bay. It just gets up my nose. Am I being unreasonable? Actually, I hope the OP has to sick his 4x4 where the sun doesn't shine.

James, Think for a minute. This newsgroup (nb the maintenace bit) is a great resource to those who use it correctly. If everytime one us had a shit car we wanted rid of and we put it on here, then this newsgroup would be uk.crap.cars.4.sale That's it, I'll say no more.

He has already spammed alt.consumers.uk-discounts.and.bargains by saying "Get a free Gmail account here" and the link goes to his ebay auction.

So I doubt if he'll be around for long.

Nope, not just you. I find it annoying too, especially when (as the OP has done) it's spammed across many different newsgroups. All you need to do is report them to ebay, spamming auctions is against their rules and they'll cancel any spammers selling account without much bother.....

you've got a 4wd car that's running 2wd, can I ask why? the standard answer is that the transfer box is buggered because someone didn't read the info properly and couldn't afford to change all 4 tyres at the same time
