I used to have a Fiat Tempra 1.8. ( I know, I know - but it was cheap and lasted 8 years). It was a crap car but the engine used to pull like stink. I then replaced it with a Fiat Marea 1.8 ( I know, I know - etc ) with the same engine but with cat converter. At low revs it doesn't pull anything like as well as the old one, and even at high revs it doesn't really sing.
The instruction book says read the ECU error codes at 24,000 mile intervals, but garage man says no light on dashboard - no need. The old car seemed to enjoy new plugs every 6,000 miles but the instruction book on the new one says replace only after 24,000! Is it worth replacing the plugs more often? - any other ideas?
