Ford Fiesta Leaves and Interior Air things

We park our car under a few trees. When you raise the bonnet you can see several leaves hanging around, I make a point of removing this cos it cant be good.

However, whn inside the car you can hear leaves knocking around in somewhere. This obviously gets loader if you move from 1-3 on the speed thingy.

Anyone get any idea where these leaves are hanging out, and how to remove them. I have checked the Haynes manual.

thanks gna

Still trying to flush out them on the car I bought recently. :-)

They are under the black plastic cover under the bonnet. Right against the windscreen, covers your wiper motor. They get under there and them get drawn into the air vents.

Also try looking in the vents in the car with a torch or poking a long screwdriver inside them to break them up so they get blown out the vent front.

The ventilation/heater fan is a prime suspect. Some ventilation pipes can be hard to get into.

Thanks for the advice. I've looked in the Haynes Manual and there is a Section under 18:26, Scuttle cover panel - its got a couple of spanners against it!.

If I ever get brave enough I'll have a go moving it.

Don't know about Fiesta's but all the VW's I've had it's just held on with some little metal clips that slide off no trouble or with a little help from some pliers. Main problem is the plastic is very flimsy and brittle so prone to splitting but i'd give it a go. :-)
