I have a 2006 Ford Fusion with a broken O/S tail light cluster that I want to replace. Because of the lockdown I cannot get out to scrapyards, so I want to order one online. There seems to be two types available. The earlier type (pre 2006) has an amber lens for the indicator. The later type (2005-2012) has a clear lens for the indicator and needs an amber bulb. My car has the later type fitted (clear lens).
The later type seems much scarcer and a lot more expensive to buy online.
Does anyone know if the earlier type will fit the later cars?
If the earlier type does fit, would I need to replace both sides so that the indicators match?
