Heating Problems on Clio

Hmm, Ok changed the thermostat and after breaking the bleed screw on the top hose (which has been replaced). Im getting little or no heat from the heater. Can i presume that the heater matrix is blocked, and require a flush. Would a cleaner help? Is this a common problem on a Clio?

RT Diesel 1.9

Many Thanks Craig

No fraid not on my Car. The top pipe (of the matrix)comes directly from the matrix to the expansion tank.

I think I will give the system a flush at the weekend. It has done nearly 200'000 miles so i guess it needs it!

Ok used a hosepipe on the matrix and refitted, i now have some heat. But its more warm than hot. But it will get my windscreen demisted in the mornings in the meantime. Would a cleaner help? I had some flow when the hosepipe was used, but i dont think it was jetting out. I put the hosepipe on both ends of the matrix.
