The original was a cross post and your reader has only downloaded the one to the group you were reading? If only they all did that. Crossposting is the spawn of the devil. But you can remove the second group when you reply.
Thank you to all those who pointed out it was a cross posted thread. That hadn't occurred to me.
My newsreader reminds me if I reply to a crossposted message - and nags me to remove the other groups. ;-)
