As header. My father has a P reg Jaguar with the 3.2 litre straight six engine. (sorry don't know the engine code or model - beleive it's and XJ6 but could be wrong) It apparantly needs a new pair of sensors and Jaguar's prices are quite laughable at £160 - recommendations for suppliers? It's had an LPG conversion if that's at all relevant.

It's important to find out exactly what sort of sensor your dad's car uses. Jag's have used Titania sensors that can't be replaced by universal Zirconia ones.
He's grotting around under the bonnet looking for them atm. Glad I live sixty miles away...:-)

It might be worth talking to whoever did the LPG conversion, both going at once is odd (not unknown but odd) & it might be the dealers got the wrong end of the stick.
They've not been swapped for 100k though so they are probably ready. There's only one gone AFAIK but if the price is sensible he prefers to swap both and then have a good spare to use for when they next go. At 60k a year it won't be too long before he needs another pair I suspect!
Hmph. The sensors are four wire with a red yellow white and black lead. I understand that the red lead indicates it's going to be a Titania sensor and therefore priceier than a standard universal one?
If it's a 3.2 Jag then it should be a titania 4wire sensor. cats direct where doing them for 67.50, the cavweb forum might know of somewhere cheaper.
