Liquid insulating tape ?

Anyone have experience of this stuff?

Could be a godsend to me for some electrical repairs, where use of conventional tape or self-amalgamating tape is awkward.

The same seller also lists on Ebay with free postage. It seems expensive and I would be concerned about shelf life, as I would use it only very occasionally.

Thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Nick.

Yes I've used it - It's brilliant. Would recomomend it for jobs like ... where wires come out of components and break because of flexing or sealing joins of multi wire exits in sealed looms. It does however dry out quickly and is pretty much useless after 6/12 months. Make sure you have some sort of dummy cap for it when using it to prevent drying out as the lid is the paint brush.

Wish I could work out the solvent to thin it down again.

And note that other outlets sell it in a range of colours.

What is VM & P Naphtha? Perhaps naive but I have run my Zippo on body wipe (car workshop variety, not home shower gel) for years. No analysis but it looks the same, smells the same, has the same consistency and does the job of lighter fluid. Actually I use this for a number of differing jobs. Might VM & P Naphtha be a similar product? Thanks, Nick.
