Re my previous thread about vibrating exhaust after engine transplant. After thoroughly checking exhaust and paying more attention to engine, I think the engine is vibrating more than it should. :( Manual says when separating engine and transmission to mark torque converter to drive plate relationship, but as I have replaced the engine this wasn't possible. Could this be responsible for the excess engine vibration? Want to check before I start experimenting with different alignments. Thanks Paul.

I doubt it's a balance problem with the torque converter, which presumably is why the manual gives that advice. Providing it's been fitted correctly, any imbalance should be neglible. After all you'd have the same problem if you fitted a new converter.
Want to check
IMO, the problem is more likely to come from a rough running engine. For whatever reason. Mike.

Thanks for pointer. Time for a thorough check on the engine then.
