Thanks for replying. Ok, here's a bit of history. i had the alarm ecu replaced, since then the alarm goes off every 5 mins. Disabling the ultrasonic sensors stops the alarm going off. My Pug dealer wans to start replacing things, sensors, door&window seals etc until they find what's wrong. I've seen a few people say they have this problem, but no-one seems to have solved it as they get to this stage and Pug say "it could be anything". With this in mind, I'm thinking it would be cheaper+easier to disable/bypass the alarm, do you agree?

I have a 95 (N) 306 XSI, 3 door with infra-red remote.

remove it ,to save your ears) the alarm ecu on your car is behind the interior trim next to the osr seat you have a choice of two kinds of ecu one with 2 connectors and one with 3 either way disconnect completely the alarm ecu disconnects the starter circuit using a relay which is in the relay box under the bonnet at the nearside(left hand) there are a couple of other relays in there but just jump alive to the output pin of each until you find the one which turns the starter the input and output of the relay are in a t shape as you look at them simply connect straight through with a wire and bingo the car will now start and the alarm is gone.btw the remote locking will still work,however to keep it that way,remove and reseal the roof aerial base(accessed through the interior light)
