Hope someone can shed some light on a couple of problems with my 1997 1.3l Micra (110,000 miles). When I depress the clutch when slowing down, rather than the car idling at the normal 1000revs, it drop pretty rapidly, and then cuts out, or nearly cuts out. The problem seem to be more prevelant after driving for a sustained period at 2000 revs or so The problem is intermittent and so far I have changes the HT leads, distributor cap, rotor arm and plugs.
Any thoughts?

Someone on here recently pointed out a site which has pics and a walkthrough on how ro resolder a couple of joints in the TB for a cheap fix, sorry can't remember who/when....

One of my mates had this on his Micra, and we eventually found it was a problem with his fast idle gizmo which was hidden under the passenger seat.
I've just been inspired by that to pop out and do that very job on the Micra. Hot tip: you don't need to remove the air filter, which is most of the job as described. On mine, anyway (K11 1.0) the cover plate was easily accessed without doing more than unplug two wires from the throttle body.
The job was a piece of piss: twenty minutes from start to end. Don't know if it worked yet, though ...

Update: from initial feedback (I didn't drive it myself) things are looking good.
