Nissan Micra spark plug gap

Jul 02, 2006 4 Replies

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the spark plug gap setting for 2 Micras, please.

I have a 1400cc version manufactured in early 2002 and my wife has the

1100cc version manufactured in early 2003.

Very many thanks.

Peter

If you search on NGK's partfinder site

formatting link
then you'll find that the 2002 1.4 uses a BKR5E-11 , the -11 means it's pregapped (to

1.1mm I believe, you better check that out). The 1.1 2003 doesn't seem to exist on their site but the 1.0 1.2 and 1.4 use the LFR5AP-11 so they're pre-gapped as well.

Steve,

Very many thanks for that - all the info I need!

And I should have mentioned that I made a mistake with the 1100cc - it should have read 1000cc.

I used to set them to 0.9mm to avoid misfiring in damp weather. They are rather sensitive to gap.
