I changed the standard CD player on my neighbours Focus today and they kindly gave me the old one as payment. It's an RDS 6000 single slot number. Comes with code and front security panel.

£50 including delivery to whoever wants it.

I'll take it if its got the black facia. We've had my missus's Focus for

7 years and I've threatened to buy her a cd unit for ages. Aftermarket ones won't work with the column mounted remote and the 6000's have been quite pricey, even on ebay.

My email address is valid.

out if interest what one did you replace it with ? I am constantly impressed by the standard stereo in my focus. It may not be as loud as my alpine in the other car but it's bloody good for a standard fit IMO.

It was an Alpine of some sort. Colour screen, touch bar at the bottom, IPod control etc. Cost her £450. Damn good unit, I say.

For that price, of course it should be damn brilliant!

The 6000-CD is a very good standard-fit CD player, probably one of the best in your standard family car to date.

I know, some people just have too much money. One of the site engineers wanted to buy it for the works Transit! He was only offering £20, so I chased him. Damn pikey ;-)

I personally think the best thing about the ford standard-fit Radios are the large buttons. Okay, so the radio's a huge bugger, but peeving about with a half-sized (in comparison) head unit, with 50 buttons, can't be good for adjustment whilst driving.
