As I said originally, a normal pedal spanner works well. I've shifted some pretty stuck ones in my time.
To the OP - this may be an obviously dumb question, and if so, apologies, but you are undoing it in the correct direction aren't you? The LH crank has an LH thread.

No problem! Yep - although it takes some thinking about each time.
Just had a look at their web site - not as expensive as I remember, about £100 for a 12 piece metric set.
Are they really that good for a private user though? A mechanic I knew used them not because they were that exceptional - he said they used to break. But because they'd come to him (promptly) to deliver the replacement, so convenient in that sense.
As mentioned upthread, I've ordered a spanner, and thanks yes, I'll heat it before the next assault.
They fit and work better than cheapo ones, often going in a space that others will not, some of mine are over thirty years old and still are perfect. I have one long pattern 10mm that has worn inside the ring end that needs to go back, but that is over twenty five years old, and is actually the first snap on spanner that has failed. I have had screwdrivers replaced on a couple of occasions, generally only through abuse. I have cheap spanners too that get cut or modified for peculiar jobs if needed, useful to lend to people as well !!
I don't think they are significantly better than Halfords Pro range, and certainly not worth the price premium.
If I was on the lookout for spanners with 100UKP to spend, I'd buy these:

Lifetime, yours. It's a contract. They send the goons around if for some reason the boss decides replacement is not the easiest solution.
I have a slightly smaller set than that - but no 15mm open ended spanner in mine!
A real test for any tool brand is how long a pozi driv screwdriver lasts. Snap On ain't that good - despite their very high cost. Wera are very much better.
My view is they are simply the 'must have' brand for looks alone. In much the same way as trainers. And of course clever marketing to the trade.
Not to say they're poor tools. Just not good value.
Decent spanners don't break unless you abuse them. And you can break anything by abusing it.
ITYM convenience of buying from the wagon, and convenience of paying on tick.
ISTR hearing that snap-on basically provide tools as a means of making their real profit, which comes from the finance packages.
Yes. And amateurs see pros using them, so conclude they must be the dog's bollocks.

Done. The Bike Hand 15mm spanner combined with heat loosened them, then a bit of rocking to/fro, and slowly came out. Lot of effort - stiff/tight to almost the end.
The old pedals took out a fair bit of thread, but the new pedals seem to have gone on square.
