Hi folks,
My girlfriend just arrived home from work after just noticing that petrol is leaking from her car.
Upon close examination i could see Petrol dripping from a small round cylinder about 5" long and 2" wide. There was also a plastic cover over this but it was all worn so i ripped it of so i can see more of the problem.
However apart from seeing the cylinder there are 2 pipes running from each end of it and both look to be properly attached. The cylinder itself does look a little corroded but after i wiped it down with some tissues and moved the car on to a hill so that the petrol wasn't leaking any more it now seems to have stopped? Although i will check it again in a little while just to be sure.
I think this cylinder needs replaced as i said it does look a little to corroded for my liking. Does anyone know the proper name for this part and roughly how much one would cost?
Maybe i would be better going to a scrap yard and picking a half decent looking one from a Punto?
Please can anyone post there thoughts and ideas !!
Thanx
