R5 Factory fit alarm

Hi,

Im looking to remove the factory fit alarm from my R5 GT Turbo, as the previous owner failed to give me the 'plipper' with the car. When i disconnect the alarm, the engine wont start, because of the immobiliser built into the alarm. Does anybody know which wires i have to bridge on the harness to bypass this?

Also, on another note, the anti perc fan seems to not work, there is a blue and red wire coming from the turbo and carb thermostat switches, the red one has melted through to the copper core. this wire goes straight to the alternator 12v, so i took the other, blue wire, connected this to 12v, and all as i got was a spark, and no fan working. Any ideas?

Cheers.

Use a circuit tester to find the earth and the power supply (often black and red). It won't be either of those. In your situation I would be inclined to cautiously (checking the voltage first so as, hopefully, not to blow a fuse or do any damage) try all the wires. Look particularly for any wires heading towards the ignition components (the coil, solenoid and fuel pump are contenders).
