Radiator leak prevention

Oct 05, 2003 3 Replies

Just seen some stuf from wyns which claims to stop leaks as fibres form on contact with air but ok in normal use

a F1 team uses it apparently

Wondering if anybody has used it ?

thanks

Not really a fan of anything you bung in a rad to block leakages - stuff like that will always be likely to clog up other parts of the cooling system.

Of course, this is fine in F1 where you rebuild the engine between races, but not ideal on a road car.

As an aside, does anyone have a link to the spoof Wynns advert advertising stuff true Aussie style:

eg. Wynns Easi-Start was repacked as Wynns 'Start ya Bastard'

snipped-for-privacy@italiancar.co.uk (SteveH) mumbled:

I'm not so sure it's a spoof...
