Her outdoors Amica has a heat shield over the rear silencer that rattles at every gear change. The exhaust itself is fine so don't want to replace it just for this piece of "tin". An ideas how to stop it rattling appreciated (other than just ripping it off that is) :-) thanks
a few well placed dents with an engineers hammer will usually do.
Or stuff steel wool or a woven metal pan scourer in the gap
Fibreglass loft insulation tends to last longer.

Could be the weld(s) attaching it to the exhaust have broken. Might be possible to tack it on again.
