My Rover 400 bubble model is giving me a problem on remote central locking. I have changed the battery in both fobs and it will only work sometimes unlocking and not work locking the car. both fobs have been set according tu user manual still no joy. Can anyone please help, dont fancy silly rover dealer prices after my last service there. thanks for any help.

One thing to try is to remove the battery from the remote and while the battery is out press each button tree or four times then refit the battery this sometimes helps. The other problem that these remote's suffer from is the rubber buttons go faulty so try it with the printed circuit board in your hand but hold it by the sides and not with your fingers on the circuit. It is also worth checking the buttons where they join the circuit board as they break away at this point. Hope this helps
