re fiat ulysse clutch

I get judder, sometimes quite severe.I have had the clutch replaced and it was fine for 6 weeks but now judder back.Is there anything else apart from the plates that can cause this. To make matters frustrating it can be perfect for a few days and then awful andthen fine. On holiday towing the weight of the van seemed to damp the clutch down somehow as it hardly proved a bother at all! (Not a Mr clutch job.independant garage)

Well assuming that there wasn't an oil leak, which should have been obvious on the old one then the clutch release is sticky or the flywheel needed resurfacing. Try the garage who did the work, they can probably eliminate all the obvious causes having seen inside the bell housing

I had this with my Punto. My Crank Shaft oil seal was leaking I guess it was getting onto the fly wheel or clutch plate. Sometimes I could pull away OK, others I'd get terrible judder.

The annoying thing is I'd had the clutch done about a month earlier. There was an oil leak around the sump, but they put it down to a porous sump. So a few months later I pretty much had to pay the labour costs of a clutch change again. Gutted.
