There's a small chance that the evaporator condensation drain is blocked, causing the evaporator housing to fill up with water and overflow.


If it's under warranty, get it checked.

Hence I said "small chance". Oddly I've never had condensation dripping from under the car or the vents on either of the astra's I've had. Maybe the air-con is too pathetic to generate excess condensation on these?

I think it's more likely to be condensation in this humid heat, I nticed when in the States that cars all had the bottoms of the doors and places like that dripping with the aircon on.

Cunningly the drain pipe from the aircon evaporator on my Subaru Legacy GTB twin turbo drips directly onto the exhaust downpipe. What a good design that was (erm....)
