I'm not complaining! It's been a good result! Mate's happy. I've learned stuff.

ITYF it's missing or forged VIN plates that are fairly serious. Dirty ones can quickly be wiped over to be read. Unless they're deliberately obscured to hide something.

I'm sure you won't mind when your car gets nicked, though.

I like them because they answer my question. Almost all the others coming from the same three people just repeated over and over that I'd asked the wrong question. Which disguises the ignorance of the the pondlife rather that answering the question!

Whether he's fixed bushes every day of his adult life, whether he's learned anything from it or not, it doesn't change the fact that he's NOT "telling us you're the expert on rear bushes". He said (I felt in a "tongue in cheek" way) that he's fixed his own once, therefore he's now got the "reputation" of being an expert.

Hehe, he wants to try asking how to modify a car in uk.rec.modifications ;)
