Hi,
I have a Renault Espace on an H plate which will not turn the starter at all.
There is no solenoid click. The ignition lights come on but nothing whatsoever in the start position.
If I power the solenoid directly the engine will start and run, but the indicators, fuel guage, electric windows and blower do not work.
These all died at the same time so I assume they're related. Can anyone shed any light on the problem?

Big wire fallen off? You really need to have a look at the wiring diagram in the Haynes Book Of Bollocks and find the common factor.
It is an H, and it is injected. I'll take a look under the battery tray.

Got it working. Turned out to be a multi-connector come loose down below the nearside headlamp.
