Renault Megane Side Windows

My front passenger side window today decided to start dropping of its own accord and despite trying to close it (electric window) it stayed firmly open. I rang my local Renault dealer and I got as far as saying that I had a problem with the side window, before he stopped me mid sentence and said "yes, it either doesn't open, doesn't close, or is somewhere in between and you can't move it at all". Its going into the garage tomorrow to be fixed.

Obviously Renault have had a spate of these "instances" so much so that the garage only has to hear "side window" and they instantly know there is a problem. Probably not has life threatening as the bonnet issue, as highlighted by Watchdog, but is this another Renault thing that they are not admitting to unless somebody contacts them.

I've got a Renault Megane Scenic new shape.

Why else would you call a dealer regarding a side-window though? The dealer simply mentioned one of the only real problems there could be with any car window. So it sounds like he was just trying to hurry the proceedings along prior to most customers blabbing on about "well, I was down the shops earlier, munching on a jaffa cake, and met peggy-sue. After this, the window..."

I would agree with what you said abotu the spate of "instances" if the dealer had only said your exact problem, but they didn't.
