I have a private bet for £100 that I can drive my car the full 14 miles to work in reverse gear, is my vehicle likely to encounter any mechanical problems. Wish me luck...............

it is illegal, it is also dangerous, if the speed is kept low there should be no damage

Mechanically, you may crash and bend your back bumper, depends upon remembering you are going backward. Because your noise goes one way, doesn't mean you should be in that lane!!

Isn't it ingenious enough if you get your drive wheels lifted and jus' get towed?
In the event of an accident I could also end up with lapwish.
Don't do what I once did when reversing away from someone at speed (possible road rage incident by the driver in front) and automatically try to change up to 2nd gear when the revs get high enough...crunch crunch crunch...
