reversing sensors found a kit but don't know the company

The set I've got includes LEDs to tell you which sensor is doing what, but all you actually need is an audible warning. So after looking at them for a while I moved the unit to where it can't be seen.

I bought two sets for different cars for customers, one went on a mondeo, the other a rover 45. the kits were 88 pounds inc and have four sensors. the bleep becomes continuous at 12 inchs from an obstruction. easy to fit. the ones I got were advertised in advanced motoring mag

the firm is called home and comfort, but I cannot immediately find the advert.

I have them from Healthmail, Kineton, Warwickshire. Think it's part of the same company. Tel: 01926 645711. The kit with two sensors cost £72 last year. Works very well on a Xantia. Maybe a bigger vehicle would require four sensors. DaveK.

About 40 years ago, there was a DIY construction article in one of the "Practical" hobby magazines (Electronics probably) for a system to measure, and warn of, the vehicle's distance from an obstruction. ISTR it was intended for driving in fog, but could be used for parking too. I never built one, but I DID build the electronic ignition system published in Wireless World a couple of years later. That made a noticeable improvement to the performance of my Hillman Imp!

peoples cars but i find the price a bit high (tightarse) spotted this website after a google search but no ones heard of them,although for the package they seem cheap...... i may just take the plunge and order one set(Inlaws want some too) which ever way i go i'll let you guys know one things for sure i won't be getting the set from Argos Jeff,Leeds

I'll do you a built one if you want for 20 quid - but don't expect a guarantee that it does what you want. ;-)

The XVision ones look quite nice - I am planning to get a set soon and want the flush fit ones - you can't beat a factory fitted look rather than wires running everywhere!
