I have a question that's been bugging me. Somebody in the other thread said that there car is still being run in after more than 100,000 miles. What I want to know is how can you tell? What's the difference between run in, 'normal', and on it's way out?
I know what running in is etc, but it's all on the inside, and you can't really see it. How can you tell whether it's run in? Also people say that if you run a new car on fully synth it'll never be run in. Doesn't that mean it'll never wear out, or does it mean that it'll wear out quicker, but will never run 'nicely'?
