Right. My old Golf (1990, MK2, pre big bumpers) has a spot of rust on the driver's side rear quater panel, above the rear light cluster. It's been scraped there at some time, it's not rotting from the inside out or anything daft.
Anyone got any ideas on where to get it sorted and what it'll cost? I want it done right, and it's a silver car so there's the complication of metallic paint. Bloke at work who was a body shop man says chips away won't want to touch it, but I might have some luck with a smart repair place.
Priorities are getting rid of the rust and getting a decent match, preferably without painting the whole side of the car. As far as I can tell, the car's had no paint at all since it came out of the factory.
