Son just had his car lock broken by some little low life. Drivers door lock broken, central locking still works from passenger side, locking all doors. question is, how easy is it to replace the lock barrel and how expensive ?/

Lock barrels are usually held just by a spring clip inside the door, so replacing them isn't difficult, just fiddly due to restricted access. However cost is another matter, I suspect you may find they are only supplied in full sets, probably around £100.
