Took my car in to Vauxhall main dealer to have two faults fixed last week:
(1) Alarm going off seemingly at random
(2) Exhaust emissions light on
Fault (1) was diagnosed as faulty alarm siren (I think these contain rechargeable batteries which fail after a few years). Cost around £144. Fault was cured.
Fault (2) was diagnosed as fault O2 sensor. Cost around £100. 24hrs later exhaust emissions light back on again, engine running rough. Took it back to the dealers, diagnosed mass air flow meter faulty. Cost around £113.
Anyone care to hazard a guess at the total bill (without haggling)?
