Should a buy a peugeot??

You see i'm not sure thats true. The 205 might well be more fun, this is not contestable, however, the GTi 180's out and grip, whilst being quite safe and dull, was phenomenal. Then theres the extra grunt and torque...i reckon the 180 would easily keep up, but the 205 driver would probly have a bigger grin :)

The lack of decent feedback from the 206 would give the 205 a distinct advantage, as you could feel exactly what the 205 was doing, and know when you were overstepping the mark - the 206 would hardly inspire confidence.

Loads of building been carried out over the last few years. If you have ever walked along by the sea front to the end where there were 4 units that were restaurants and bars, there was some waste land at the end of them. That is now all apartments stretching from one end of the village to the other. Going back in September for the third year. If you want something away from the crowd, there is a small farm which has been converted to apartments and is only about 5 mins walk away from the front and Anthea and Mike are nice people who just leave you to it.

I noticed that the prices had risen over the previous years for the beer and the food. But still a nice place go. Try and pop in to Marias bar. Very few English people get in there, full of locals and you will be made welcome.

Seems that jeans, T shirts and trainers are usual biking wear, unless you are a Power Ranger.

Which one is that?

We tended to go to the large-ish bar with the pool table on the left (it's on a corner, ISTR) as you walk into the village, coming from the main A road along the coast, IYSWIM?

Also went to the small bar down the first left in town, actually just over the road from the one above, IYSWIM.

Anyway, the barman in the first bar was very welcoming - always had time to talk to me as I wore a variety of football shirts over the 2 weeks we were there :-)

From Tavira, straight down the main drag (IC4/N125) towards Cabanas. Turn right at the second (the first is like a small slip road) turning. As you straighten up, there is a small crossroads before you cross and follow the main drag to the sea front. At that crossroads, turn left and the bar is on the left (was the first building last year, but they may have built something on the waste ground.)

Full of locals, including the grave digger who says very little but understand very good English. Next door to the bar is the public toilets. Well placed as the bar has none.

Do *NOT* sit under the bird cage as it like to throw husk over anyone who does.

Not sure where that is. We usually started at Quasimodos (Straight down the main road right to the bottom and it is on the corner on your right).

Another nice bar was called Palokos. Happy hour from 4 to 7 pm. Always had an argument with the mother of the son who owns it as she never could remember how many we had to drink. Our reckoning was always at least 15 Euros more than she reckoned.

Know it. Never been in it though.

That is the nice thing about the whole country. The people are so warm and friendly.

Internet cafe in Montegiordo (sp?) so you can even keep up with ukrcm. & ukrm.:)

Thinking of pricing up appartments out there as an investment.....

Last year some single bedroom apartments away from the se front were up for 48k GBP.

Erk! They've gone up a tad since we were last there. We'll have to head out into the sticks a bit, I think.

I only know one thing about Peugots. Don't buy one. I personally know three people who've had the radiator water disappear into the oil and the engine sieze etc. The only things that go wrong with them are the major things. Des.
