I dunno , I think I've laughed more at some of the others but it was excellent stuff.

This petrolheads quiz thing after it is pretty dire though

So it bores you every time, and you always switch it off, yet you still always tune in?

We thought it was excellent. The race track on the frozen lake looked brilliant fun. Reminded me of getting stranded at 45 degrees to the kerb in a metro on a steep hill on sheet ice in the dark in my first year of driving. What happened to proper snowy weather anyway? Used to be great fun.

Is he the softy or the titch?

I taped it but watched Rock School. I saw the end and am more convinced than ever that Stig is that jerry bird.

So it's worth watching then?

Er.. isn't it extremely well known public knowledge who the Stig (usually) is? I say usually, because there's no way it was the same bloke tonight.

And who is the stig?

The current Stig is a forumla 3 driver I think. I have forgotten his name. Ben something I think.

There are several Stigs now apparently.

One regular Stig plus stand-ins for the more unusual types of vehicle such as last nights

White Stig is "various" - rumour is that he's a rally driver when the default stig is used, but it may also be the car's owners dressed as the Stig.

It was harmless in a slightly car nerdy, let's knock things over kind of way I thought. I've definitely seen worse, but then I've seen The IT Crowd and They Think It's All Over.

They Think It's All Over's alright, but I've always thought that the name game at the end has always been the best bit, and often very funny indeed. As for The IT Crowd - well I haven't seen much of it yet, but I think my opinion's likely to be that any decent publicity they might have got was purely due to the hype around it being written by the same guy that co-wrote Father Ted.
