Static or Rolling Road Tuning

My car is in need of a tune, following an engine rebuild.

I live in Portsmouth - are there any places where I can get my Alfa 33 static or rolling road tuned in my locality?

Out of interest, what does rolling road tuning offer that static tuning doesn't - isn't it like writing an open cheque? (Similar to Alfa ownership, which is like writing a series of open cheques.....)

Alfa 33

static tuning

Main difference is that the result of any alterations can be seen and compared with the cars original output. Having said that, a standard modern car doesn't really lend itself to being tuned in the accepted meaning of the word. So many functions are controlled by the ECU, leaving little that can be tweaked to an optimal setting. More a case of making sure everything works as it should. Mike.
