hey, im training to be a car mechanic so i would like to know if anyone out thier knows any web sites that would be able to help me teach myself at home. all help would be greatly apreciated.

I don't mean to be rude, but surely that is what college courses and apprenticeships are for?
All of our trainees attend college on day release for 3 years and then are not 'good' techs for a further couple of years.
Nothing wrong in wanting to swot up to impress the teacher :) Incidently I'd like to know of some websites that show you basic stuff like changing brake pads, discs and engine oil etc etc (and no, I don't want to become a mechanic).

shows you some stuff, but it's all a bit basic and generalised.
Pick up near any Haynes manual at a car boot sale for pennies. They all cover this sort of generalized stuff.
