Volvo 740 -What's the name of this Hall Sensor lead?

Oct 12, 2006 3 Replies

Can anyone tell me what's the name of the lead that plugs into the Hall sensor on the distributor of a Volvo 740 (B200 engine)? Also, where does it come from and is it easy to replace? The connector on mine has broken and either I need to replace the connector and rewire it or just by the complete cable.

Many thanks,

JD

Either replace the connecter with crimp on bullets or try the scrapyard. You'll find it's easier to splice the short bit than strip the loom back.

Hi Duncan, I think you are probably right! Small bullets should fit into the Hall senor socket do you think? I've bared the wires already - you don't happen to know the colour sequence? I think the centre on the Hall sensor is earth but don't know the others (though I could just take off the distributor I guess!) JD

Look under Hall switch distributor connecter
