Theres no need. Just stick a brush up there and scrub it around, then use the same brush (shaken clean in the bucket) with loads of water on it to rinse.

I've see this in the office where I work.... or was it reverse arsemosis? :o)

Use a brush and a bucket. It's tedious but it works. Or, even better, go to a garage and use a jetwash, which is perfectly legal and shows how stupid the rules are.

Because since they privatised the water companies, there is no incentive for long term investment - the shareholders just want their divvies. Mind you, given the amazing short-termism of politicians, there was probably little investment anyway.

BTW, desalination takes a huge amount of power and the resulting water isn't what you'd call nice-tasting. That's why they drink the bottled stuff.

To be fair, the s*it that comes out of my tap don't taste that great either :)

Wessex water give a rebate if your 'roof water' goes into a soakaway or watercourse. i.e. not into the 'sewer and waste water drains'.
