Hi all, just bought a car for the missus for an xmas pressie. Now i need to get it insured for her. she is currently insured on a focus which runs out in feb. What's the best way to get her insured from xmas day onwards without her knowing?

As a pointer will probably be easier to do it on your insurance till february so she still keeps her years no claim bonus.

Could get a short term policy for a week or whatever to give her time to change over.
You'll not get anywhere with her insurers so don't even bother trying.
Yes, get it insured for you with her as a named driver. You can always cancel it later when her insurance is ready to switch.
It will cost you a bit to do that, *but* if you have enough to be buying newish cars as presents you probably won't miss it.
What's so difficult about changing the insured car on a policy? Or adding a second car?
