No. The pillocks that failed my MOT due to number plate damage on my car (a water mark behind the sticker) managed to install a number plate with two of the numbers the wrong way around. I just cannot be arsed to get it swapped.

Are there any?. I'd have thought that a flash going off right in front of a driver was 'agin some regs or other. Never seen one doing that...
Unless there have been changes, number plate offences are subject to fine only, not points.
The Truvelo cameras are forward facing, I seem to think they have infrared flash.
And the chance to speed through some cameras would be gone. And most fixed ANPR cameras pick up the front number plate.

Front facing cameras are the prefered choice as they can ID the driver when Chris Huhne is behind the wheel.

Used on the A14 through Cambridgeshire, among other places I frequent. It is rumoured that the most common picture found on their films is of a motorcyclist extending his second finger in the time honoured manner while doing well in excess of 100mph. Which is why they're being replaced with normal cameras as quckly as can be afforded.
Any decent motorcyclist would then just do a wheelie at 100mph so that the number plate cannot be seen.

No, the A14 definitely has the blue Truvelos, the A52 between Nottingham and Grantham has the SPECS cameras (as well as various routes within Nottingham).
It doesn't in the bit between Huntingdon and Cambridge...
Fair enough, it's the bit between the M1 and Huntingdon that I use most.
Right its amazing that you can get going alone there fast enough to trigger the cameras anyway..
I do WISH they had a camera that caught lorries tailgating. I saw some the other week that were around 1 to 2 metres apart they might just as well called it a road train;!...
If they get up my bumper then they'll get ever increasing brake light flashes till they learn not to. Deffo not the class of driver they once were;(...
I've put a cheap camera in the back window, and it is amazing how often a tail-gater retreats to a reasonable distance once they have seen it. It can also be used as evidence if required.

And the cars electrics might not be built to modern EMC standards and suffer when the 'phone dials out. might only be the stereo that actually suffers but people will complain.

Kingscroft Volvo in Leatherhead managed to do something similar for a mate of mine some years ago. Put their own plates on a second hand car he bought from them: OBD on the front and ODB on the rear.
I noticed it when I was looking around it. He'd had it a fortnight by then!
Quite. 80k so far in an automatic with original pads and discs all round. Last service said they were about 60% worn, so I'll be gutted if they don't last the 100k.
The GPS, by cross referencing with the NavTeq or Teleatlas databases. That's also how they can tell you've been speeding.
For accurate carbon emissions, they'd also need a fuel flow meter.
